REGATTA BEACH BOAT RAMP

Public BBQ

Regatta Beach sits about 7km from Balranald via a dirt road, offering lake access with a boat ramp suitable for small boats due to shallow water. The barbecue facilities stand out, with free electric plates kept very clean, plus rainwater tanks and even paper towels for cleaning. Dining tables and toilets are well maintained. Plenty of shade provides relief on hot days, with temperatures reaching 41 degrees in summer. The water quality disappoints, appearing muddy and uninviting for swimming, though a shallow beach area exists. Fishing attracts visitors, mainly catching carp. The quiet, serene setting offers views back across the lake to Yanga Homestead, and bird watching draws interest in the off season. The site once hosted a sailing clubhouse and remains suitable for water activities and lunch stops.
